Open Burn Complaints

All complaints regarding Open Air Burning can be made through the Duty Officer at Station 2. They can be reached at (519)  736-5733 - 24 hours a day.

Any illegal open burns will be put out and, fees or fines will be laid.

Permit holders who are compliant with the bylaw will be allowed to continue to burn as long as all rules are being followed. Having a permit does not exempt the permit holder from ensuring that the smoke travel is not interfering with the enjoyment of the outdoors by neighbours.

Reminder that if you have a permit, your fire is approved for a specific location. Moving your fire to a new location must be approved by the Fire Department.
