On behalf of Town Council and Administration I would like to welcome you to Historic Amherstburg. One of  the oldest most picturesque towns in Southwestern Ontario, Amherstburg is nestled on the shores of Lake Erie and the Detroit River, a mere 25 minutes away from the Windsor/Detroit border.

Charm, character, unmistakeable history and genuine hospitality is what you'll find here!

Eclectic dining awaits your palate or visit our award winning wineries, breweries or distillery. Our world class sports complex, home to the Junior C Hockey Club, the Integrity Amherstburg Admirals and Canada's first Miracle League baseball diamond.  Experience firing a musket at Fort Malden National Historic Museum where you will learn about the War of 1812 and the Rebellion of 1837. This is all part of Amherstburg's authentic history! Amherstburg is not only a great vacation destination but an ideal community to call home!

We look forward to seeing you soon right here in Amherstburg, where you can live, work, play, and grow with us.

Warm Regards,
