Drinking Water Quality Management

A Quality Management System is a series of policies, procedures and documents that outline organizational structure, responsibilities and resources. One of the recommendations made by Justice O'Connor in the Walkerton Water Inquiry was to implement a municipal drinking water licensing program. Under the Safe Water Act, 2002 the implementation of a Drinking Water Quality Management Standard was one piece of the new licensing program.
