2026 Municipal Election

Town of Amherstburg is proudly conducting an election on Monday, October 26, 2026 for the following offices:

Municipal: One (1) Mayor, to be elected at large; One (1) Deputy Mayor, to be elected at large; Five (5) Councillors, to be elected at large

School Board Trustees: One (1) for each school board.

October 7 & 17, 2026 - Advance Voting Days

There are two Advance Voting Days where residents can vote prior to Election Day. 

Wednesday, October 7, 2026 

  • Libro Credit Union Centre. 3295 Meloche Road
  • Hours: 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Saturday, October 17, 2026

  • Libro Credit Union Centre, 3295 Meloche Road
  • Anderdon Public School, 3170 Middle Side Road
  • Hours: 10:00 a.m. until  8:00 p.m.

Voters in the 2026 Municipal Election will be provided with a voting place to attend on Election Day but may choose to attend any of the voting places. The voting places are as follows:

Libro Credit Union Centre, 3295 Meloche Road

  • Hours: 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

North Star High School, 330 Simcoe Street

  • Hours: 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

McGregor Columbian Club, 9560 Walker Road

  • Hours: 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Richmond Terrace, 89 Rankin Avenue

  • Hours: 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Seasons Retirement Community, 680 Front Road South

  • Hours: 2:15 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.
